To make this as smooth as possible, here’s a friendly guide to get you started with the integration. If you have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out here, , or schedule a call with and learn more here.

Getting Started with Tessitura API Access

Step 1: Set Up an API User

  • Create a special user in Tessitura for Cuseum with the “API” user type.

  • Assign this user to the right User Group to ensure proper access.

Step 2: Share the API Authentication Details

  • Send us the Tessitura API Authentication String. It’s a combination of Username, GroupID, Location, and Password.

  • Example: RestWeb2:admin:RestWeb2:Password123

  • Need help? Check out Tessitura’s helpful video here for a quick walkthrough.

Step 3: Provide the API URL

  • Give us the URL where we can access Tessitura’s API:

    • For RAMP hosting: https://yourname.tessituranetworkramp.com/LiveAPI/TessituraService/

    • For self-hosted setups: https://tessexternal.yourname.org/TessituraService/

  • Not sure? Your IT team can help find the right URL!

Now that you’ve granted Cuseum API access, we also need to ensure we have access at the interface level.

Accessing Tessitura Software

Step 1: Create an Admin User for Us

  • Set up an Admin user account for Cuseum so we can assist with setup, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Share the username and password with us.

Step 2: Share a List ID

  • Create a “List” in Tessitura and send us the List ID. This helps us know which data you want to sync.

A Few Extra Tips

Whitelist Our IP Addresses

  • If your system has high security, you may need to whitelist a few Cuseum IP addresses. We’ll provide these for you.

Citrix Credentials

  • If your setup requires Citrix, please provide the Citrix credentials so we can log in smoothly.

API Endpoints We Use

  • We’ll be using GET requests to read data from these endpoints:

    • Reporting/Lists/XXXX/Contents

    • CRM/Constituents/:id

    • CRM/ContactPoints?constituentId=XXX

    • CRM/Memberships/Details?constituentId=XXX

  • Let us know if your data setup is different so we can adjust accordingly.

Testing and Go Live

  • We can start with a Test Environment and move to Live/Production after everything looks good.
