The Hellenic Initiative (THI) has launched Digital Membership through its new partnership with Cuseum. The change simplifies how supporters engage with THI while providing easier access to their benefits. THI now joins institutions like the American Horticultural Society, Yellowstone Forever, and The Catalina Island Conservancy in moving to mobile-first membership formats that offer immediate, digital access.
A Global Mission with Deep Roots
Founded in 2012, The Hellenic Initiative is a global nonprofit uniting the Greek diaspora and Philhellene community to support Greece’s economic recovery and humanitarian needs. With headquarters in New York, the organization funds high-impact projects that offer food, shelter, healthcare, and entrepreneurship support.
Over the last decade, THI has distributed more than twenty-three million dollars across over three hundred and fifty grants in both humanitarian aid and economic development. Through its programs and annual events, it reaches a wide network of supporters in the US, Europe, and beyond.
What Digital Membership Offers
The shift to Digital Memberships allows THI members to receive and use their membership card directly from their mobile devices. They can redeem benefits, view status, and receive important notifications—without needing to manage physical cards or wait for mail. Digital cards update automatically and can be stored in mobile wallets for quick access at events and participating partner locations. Renewal reminders are built in, helping supporters stay active and engaged.
Why the Change Matters
This change helps THI lower printing and mailing costs, reduce waste, and reach members faster with fewer delays. For an international nonprofit with members across multiple time zones, digital delivery is more reliable and timely. “It’s a simple way to improve both communication and sustainability,” a THI representative noted. “We want our members to feel connected from wherever they are.”
