McCord Museum has launched their new mobile app with Cuseum! The app provides additional content about the exhibits as well as a variety of themed tours around the city of Montreal.
Visitors can explore historical architecture in conjunction with real estate company Ivanhoé Cambridge, performance spaces and stage magic venues from the Golden Age of Magic, as well as the luxurious neighborhood of the Golden Square Mile. Historical images from the Notman Photographic Archives accompany each self-guided tour, through the use of location-based notifications!
The McCord Museum, inaugurated in 1921, owes its legacy to David Ross McCord, whose dream was to bring the people of his country together through history and culture. With that goal in mind, he assembled his own collection of historically relevant art, which made up the basis of the Museum’s original collection. Today, the main collections consist of paintings, prints, and drawings, as well as costumes and textiles, decorative arts, and photography.
The McCord Museum’s new mobile app puts these remarkable collections and the wonders of the city of Montreal in the palm of your hand!
McCord Museum’s new app is available for free on the App Store.
