Hot Off the Press: Printable Digital Membership Cards


Cuseum is happy to announce an exciting new feature for our Digital Membership customers: self-serve printable membership cards! This new functionality allows members to print a physical copy of their card at home. 

With this feature, our partners can provide their members with even more value by empowering them to use their Digital Cards in the format of their choice. These printed cards have the same basic functionality of the Digital Membership Cards, and are a great option for those members with accessibility limitations, those who prefer physical cards, or those who like having both! This feature is a convenient, simplified process that improves operational efficiency by saving our partners staff time and resources, and streamlines the user process for a seamless, self-serve member experience.


How It Works

Printable Membership Cards are available to all our Digital Membership Card customers at no additional cost. In fact, it’s designed to help save you time and money! 

No longer will you have to devote valuable staff hours and resources to printing new or replacement cards for your members. With this new self-serve functionality, your members will be empowered to use their membership cards in the format of their choice: digital, physical, or both!

Once enabled, any member with an active Digital Membership Card will have the option to print their own card from home – and it’s as easy as 1-2-3:  first, members access their digital card by clicking the “Download My Card” link within the delivery email from your organization. Their personalized membership card will pop up on their screen, where there will be an option to "Print a physical copy.” Once the print menu appears, they simply have to click “Print” and voila – they have a physical card in hand, displaying their name, membership details, barcode or embedded scannable QR code, and more.

In recent years, there has been a revolution in mobile technology, with adoption rates and demand for contactless payment and mobile communication skyrocketing globally. That’s why more museums and cultural organizations are switching to mobile wallet-compatible digital membership cards than ever before. 

However, there are many reasons your members may still want the option of a physical card: while younger users are leading the charge in adoption of contactless technology and mobile payments, older adults are more likely to want the option of a traditional, physical card in addition to a digital version. And while mobile technology adoption has increased exponentially in recent years, some of your members may still prefer to go smartphone-free, often because accessibility limitations make mobile use difficult or inconvenient. Other members may just want the ease and convenience of having both a digital and physical copy of their card. With this in mind, Cuseum has made that option available – and easy.
