Boosting Digital Membership Card Adoption: Tips for Cuseum Customers

Whether you've just launched or are trying to find fresh ideas, improving adoption is an essential strategy for streamlining services, providing an improved member experience, and ultimately increasing engagement and retention. Luckily, there are lots of tips and best practices that can make a big difference in improving adoption rates. In this blog post, we'll discuss simple strategies and lessons learned from organizations like yours that have successfully boosted their own digital card adoption rate.

Read on for the complete rundown!

1. Embrace the power of Email Settings

Tailor the subject lines and content of Initial, Renewal, and Reminder emails to inspire members to install digital membership cards. Adjust the language and set the interval between the Initial and Reminder emails to ensure they get a reminder if they did not install their card in the first place. Remember that this has to be activated by Support.

2. Give cards a friendly nudge

It's easy for members to overlook card installation in their busy inboxes. To jog their memory, have Support resend cards to all active members yet to install them. There are organizations that do this twice a year, or every season. It's up to you how often you want to resend cards again to a member who got their card a year ago and never installed it!

This strategy propels cards to the top of inboxes, enhancing the odds of installation. Just let us know here if you’d like to resend all active non-installed cards, here

3. Leverage your email marketing prowess

Select "Active + Sent" and click the Status Report Button to fetch a list of members without installed cards. The report will include the unique link to each member’s card. With this data, you can use your email marketing tool to gently remind members to download cards or renew memberships.

4. Send cards via SMS for greater reach

Cuseum's SMS-based card delivery feature adds another convenient channel to connect with members, especially those who prefer texts over emails, like senior citizens. If you would like to receive more information about the SMS feature, you can click here

5. Adopt a Branded Domain for familiarity

By default, cards are sent from membership@cuseum.com but you can actually change it to your organization's domain. A custom domain allows cards to be sent from your organization's email domain, presenting a familiar and trustworthy source to members, and ultimately, encouraging card installation. You can ask for more information on the custom by emailing elizabeth@cuseum.com or clicking here

Adopting these tactics can substantially enhance digital membership card adoption. By integrating these approaches, you'll foster better engagement and deliver a seamless experience to all members.

6. Amplify your organization's messaging

Incorporate reminders about digital card installation across communication channels like emails, newsletters, social media, onsite experiences, and member events. Consistent nudges can work wonders in boosting card adoption rates.

Boosting digital membership card adoption is key for enhancing member engagement, streamlining services, and driving retention. By leveraging strategic email settings, resending cards periodically, and utilizing email marketing tools, organizations can significantly improve card installation rates. Additionally, SMS delivery, adopting a branded domain, and consistent messaging across various platforms can further empower organizations to provide a seamless and engaging member experience.
